The face and voice of the RSPB in the High Peak and Marple area

The aim of the group is to support the RSPB through fundraising and local conservation, while at the same time providing interest and entertainment for our members through indoor meetings and outings.

RSPB Local Groups provide a perfect way to meet people with similar interests in birdwatching and nature in a relaxed atmosphere.

We meet at Marple Senior Citizens Hall on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7:30pm. Outings are normally held every month on Sundays and there are occasional weekend trips. Our current programme of meetings and outings can be found on our website.

Our subscription fee is only £10 a year, free for under 18s!! Non-RSPB members welcome.

If you haven’t already done so, give us a try! You’ll receive a warm welcome!

  1. Great Spotted Woodpecker by Robert Ready.
  2. Pied Flycatcher by Vicky Harper.
  3. Linnet by Peter Hill.
  4. Tawny Owl by Richard Stephenson.

What to do if you find an injured bird:

With lots of different wildlife organisations out there it can be confusing to know who to contact. Calling the wrong organisation can delay an animal receiving the correct help. Therefore, the RSPB has created the following information to guide you. Please visit https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/if-you-find-an-injured-bird
