Chris explains her inspiration on the back cover:

Chris HagueI am Chris Hague. Like many people living in Marple I'm an expat. I was born in Yorkshire and moved to Marple in 1972. I love its location on the edge of the Pennines, the buildings, canals and the history that surrounds them. In Marple Through The Alphabet I have tried to capture my love of the town, finding a theme for each letter, taking a photograph and then sketching it. I hope you enjoy the booklet as much as I have enjoyed preparing it.

All the proceeds from the sale of the booklet will be donated to Marple charities.
