Marple Station Marple Station was opened in 1865 by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway. It was demolished and rebuilt in 1970 and underwent a more recent refurbishment in 2012. this album contains images relating to the station with a sub-album that contains a record of the 2012 Improvements. Rose Hill Station
Rose Hill Station
Rose Hill Station Rose Hill Marple is one of two railway stations serving Marple. The station opened in 1869 and is the last surviving stop on the former Macclesfield, Bollington and Marple Railway (MB&MR). It is connected via a short branch to the Hope Valley Line. The original line to Macclesfield was closed in January 1970, leaving Rose Hill Marple as the terminus of the route. Read more about its history on the Friends of Rose Hill website, and on Wikipedia.
