Note that there were 8 properties in the whole terrace (7 visible in this picture) as there are today. On our earlier picture there are only 4 properties. It is clear from these two images and examination of finer details of the building today that it must have been built in two halves. This is why the "Exchange Buildings 1904" plaque is in the centre of the first 4 and not the centre of the whole building. In the earlier image it does look like the brickwork is keyed along the front end of the building ready to accept the second half.
