This image of a watercolour painting of the Marple Hall Stables Clock Tower by artist George Henry Broomfield was provided by Chris Docherty in February 2025. George Henry was a great great uncle to Chris, who has a collection of over 40 Broomfield paintings, many of which Chris suspects were painted in Cheshire.

George Henry Broomfield 1891 - 1942
A painter and designer, Geo. H. Broomfield studied at the Royal College of Art where he was a King's Prize Winner. In 1925 he was living in Manchester; he died in Ryde, Isle of Wight. He exhibited four times in the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; four times in the Manchester Art Gallery; and at the Royal Cambrian Academy.
